100 Mile Race 2008 ....

Participants from both the United States and Canada participated in the February 2008 event. They left Greenville at the south end of Moosehead Lake at 9 a.m. on February 9th. The trail went north up the lake, turned east into Sandy Bay and crossed the Lily Bay Road. Through public and private lands and the famed 100 Mile Wilderness, the mushers made their way to Brownville Junction, where they took a mandatory two hour rest before heading back to Greenville for the finish. This year's course was 108 miles and the total prize purse was $5000.
